I first started my relationship with Lionheart Fitness in high school. I was a mediocre
freshman baseball player looking to improve my athleticism. After various meetings
with Lionheart Fitness, he suggested that I switch to the sport of Track & Field
because it better suited my natural skills. They told me that with their guidance and
workout routines that I could become one of the best athletes in the area.

After one week of working under the Lionheart Fitness program, I found that they
knew their stuff. They were able to recognize my strengths and highlight them, and
were also able to realize my weaknesses and improve upon them. I began seeing
physical results in my body composition and also in my performances. I became
more ripped and more athletic...what more could I ask for?

As it turned out, under the tutelage of Lionheart Fitness, I became an All-State High
Jumper by my senior year. I was never a big kid. I was always the shy, skinny kid. I
was always under the assumption that I could not accomplish great things, but
Lionheart Fitness changed that. They gave me confidence, higher self esteem, a
better outward image, self-respect, and made me physically better. I believe my
experiences with Lionheart Fitness have made me a better person in many ways
and encourage everyone to experience it yourselves.

I first started at Lionheart in January of 2008.  At that point, I was 4 months post
gastric bypass surgery.  I needed to start working out to build my strength, tighten
and tone my body, and to help me with continued weight loss.  After meeting Mike,
one of the co-owners, I knew this was the gym for me.  Mike is very personable and
a true people person.  He loves what he does and it shows in how he pays
attention to his client's needs.  I was a person who had never had any formal
exercise before other than the occasional water aerobics class.  Mike evaluated me
and took my physical limitations into consideration and suggested I start in his class
with a couple of the other girls.  This was the best decision I could've made.  
Working out in a class setting is almost as intimate as working one to one.  Hetakes
us through very intense routines, always changing things up, and having as much
fun with us as we have with him.  In the last 6 months of being at Lionheart I've
dropped another 45 pounds and have really toned up my body.  I have learned to
enjoy exercise and look forward to my workouts because they've truly helped me
on many levels both physical and emotional.  Lionheart Fitness is the perfect work
out center for anyone who enjoys a more intimate setting rather than big workout
centers.  Thanks Mike for helping me look better than I ever have before and I look
forward to continuing to work out with you and Lionheart!

I came to Lionheart as an out-of-shape, exercise-hater who hadn't broken a sweat since the
birth of my second child three years ago.  My goal was pretty simple - help me make fitness a
part of my life.  I did 36 personal training sessions with Matt - twice a week for 90 minutes each.  
I think the biggest motivator for me was the fact that I actually made progress.  I could run
longer, lift heavier weights, do more 'hip-ups' (and these are really hard!) if I just kept at it.  I
have more energy, I no longer feel that guilt that most non-exercisers carry around with them,
and I can see my ab muscles.  After my training sessions ended, I wasn't ready to sever ties so
I'm doing the early morning boot camp twice a week.  I've never been comfortable working out in
big fitness centers, so Lionheart really fits my style.  It's comfortable and low-key, and the
trainers are all sincere and encouraging.

I hired Lionheart Fitness to hone my workout routine.  I’ve been working out for about 5 years,

I was a Division I Track and Field athlete specializing in the Decathlon and 4X100 meter relay.  I
have been working with Lionheart Fitness for five years now in the summers and during
moments of rehabilitation.  I use this time to recover, and keep my body and mind in shape.  
During these periods I have found the trainers at Lionheart to be extremely knowledgeable and
professional.  I find myself returning each athletic season stronger, faster, and fitter.

One of the most impressive things that I have found when working with Lionheart is that they are
able to adapt their workouts to the person.  Every year I have had a new workout regime
targeting my weaker and less-developed areas.   These specific workouts along with the circuit
training have increased my endurance, speed, and strength.  Another aspect that I enjoy is the
staff’s attitude and friendship.  I have always found them to a great trainers as well as a great
people.  They are always upbeat and always encouraging during workouts and casual
conversation.  I know that they really care about my success in and out of athletics.  

I have been blessed with my athletic ability, but in today’s athletics it is ever increasingly more
difficult to be the best.  I attribute my success as Division I athlete because of my determination
during the season, and the training that I get in the off-season through Lionheart.
